Description

A photo album related to the testing of of Nike Hercules Missile 12349A167 at the White Sands Proving Ground on October 14, 1952. The missile was constructed by Douglas Aircraft in California. The boosters were constructed by Hercules Powder Company, Alleghany Ballistics Laboratory, Cumberland, Maryland. The sustainer motor was constructed by Thiokol Chemical Corporation. The guidance system was manufactured by Western Electric. Much of the guidance system was manufactured at the Western Electric Facility on Graham-Hopedale Rd in Burlington, NC.
