Group of eight adults dressed "pioneer" dress and bonnets reminiscent of the 1870s, gathered at Kings Mountain High School, either before or after a Centennial Celebration event. Participants who dressed in period clothes, followed certain rules, and promoted centennial events were called Centennial Bells.
