Charles Mauney, Mrs. W.T. Weir and Mayor John Henry Moss standing next to a large frame of a speech and related memorabilia donated by E. Y. Webb, Jr., whose father made an influential speech to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1906 that resulted in the building of the Kings Mountain Battleground Monument. The frame was on display during the Centennial celebration of the city and later donated to the battleground museum.
