Description
Black and white photograph of a white house with a chimney in the center of
the roofline. On the front porch there are 3 chairs, a screen door, and 2 steps leading to the
front yard. In front of the porch are two small bushes and to the right side of the porch there
is a small tree growing. There is also a tree growing in front of the house. Built in 1873 by
W.A. Mauney, is considered the oldest unchanged house in Kings Mountain. W.A. Mauney and his
brother Jacob first established their mercantile business here.
