Description
Drafted by D.W. Riley. Map depicting Wrightsville Beach. Shows all of
the additions and subdivisions done in the 1930s. Has Waynick, one of the first maps
without the trolley. Covered in red marks, check marks, and small red circles which
seem to indicate buildings. There are names written in various zones of the beach
with check marks on them. Unclear as to what these zones were used for. However,
given the time and activities of the Robinson Family, who owned the map, it is
suspected that it was associated with WWII blackout/night watch policing. Paper and
ink. Condition Notes: "Some water staining and a few small tears."
