Dear Miss Hyatt Your letter of Feb 12 received and I wish to thank you for the information you gave me. My check for sixty cents is enclosed to pay for one map of the New Bern Colony and cost of mailing. The map will be interesting if not helpful and I hope it will give me something that will help. It is my intention to write Mr. Blackshear and Mr. Brown and in time I hope to be able to definitely link our first colonist to the New Bern settlement.
