Helen Poole taught sixth grade at Troy Elementary School in Troy, North Carolina. Every year, the sixth grade students would make puppets under her direction, and write and perform a show for the community. Helen Poole's sister is Mary Elizabeth Poole, who created the government documents catalog system used by the United States government today.
