Description

Bicentennial parade down Franklin Street, including floats, individuals dressed as Civil War soldiers, bagpipe players, and two young adults dressed as a married couple, accompanied by a priest, in a horse drawn cart. Dedication of sign on MLK Jr. Boulevard as created by David Jones Design, October 3, 1993. Reception held inside, possibly by the town of Chapel Hill, with posters set up for viewing and food and drink. Speech given at courthouse and post office. Another speech given outside on what appears to be someone's lawn.
