Description
Considered to be an outstanding engineering
achievement, the Walters Dam was constructed in the late 1920's. The
dam is 870 feet long, 180 feet high and 4 1/2 feet thick. With an
operating head of 861 feet, the flood gates can discharge 60,000
cubic feet of water per second.
