The truck, built on a Model-T chassis and purchased by the town in 1925, featured a 20 horsepower motor and speed of 35 miles per hour. Equipment included two 30-gallon soda-acid tanks, four two and one half gallon portable tanks, and 400 feet of two and one half inch hose. Prior to the fire truck, firemen hand-pulled a cart with a hose mounted on a reel.
