Corinthian Masonic Lodge Number Seventeen, the oldest fraternal organization for Black men in Mocksville, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1974. The Lodge sponsors the annual Masonic and Davie Educational Union Picnic on the Saturday after the second Thursday in August, to benefit Oxford Orphanage and provide financial assistance to college students, needy families, and other worthy causes.
