Description

The Miss Mocksville Pageant, an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant, began in 1960. The pageant was held in Mocksville Elementary School and hosted by Jack Pennington, President of the Mocksville Jaycees, and Claude Horn Jr. The winner went on to compete in the Miss North Carolina pageant. The program cover depicts the reigning Miss America.
