The Bradstreet Company, founded in 1849, merged with Dun & Company in 1933 to form Dun & Bradstreet. Bradstreet sent an inquiry to the Davie County Treasurer requesting confirmation of any outstanding debt instruments. Davie County reported on $2,000 of bonds to complete construction of the NC Midland Railroad line.
