Description

James L. Sheek served Davie County as sheriff, County Treasurer, and postmaster. He served in both the NC Senate and House of Representatives. As a Mason, he staunchly supported the Mocksville Masonic Picnic. He married Rena Kimbrough in 1889. The political circular may have been for the 1898 sheriff's election.
