A handwritten letter to D. H. Cook from his father C. J. Cook. The letter is from Camp Holmes near Raleigh. C.J. Cook was a member of the Blackmer Lodge No. 127 and David Haze Cook was a past master for the Blackmer Lodge No. 127 (1874, 1888-1889, and 1891). The date is written as March H2, 1865.
