North Carolina-issued Confederate currency, worth five cents. Bill No. 2145. On obverse, image at center of the bill shows the Great Seal of the State. Text around the seal reads, in part, "THE STATE of NORTH CAROLINA/Wil pay/to Bearer/at the Trea/sury on or before/January/1st 1866/FIVE CENTS." Reverse is blank.
