Letter from W.P. Redwine to his brother Thomas W. Redwine concerning the imminent death of their brother Loveless Redwine. Transcription: N. C. Davidson Co December the 1 1856 Dear Brother Thomas. I mus inform you about our brother Loveless I have jest rec'd a leter from John W. stateing that he though Lovelss would be dead before we got his letter his letter arive at my hands this evening I supose it come to the office laste Sunday It was dated the 18 of Nove Come in 12 days he sed that the doctors had give him out entilerley? he sed they though that they was no chance of him living long he ses he has Roat 2 or 3 letters & have not got no answ yet I have Roat two to him lately & he has not got nare one of them I have Roat another this night I esspect to starte Fridy when I do youse & I want you to Right forth with as soon as you get these ? lines & maby he will get some of them in the ? Maderson Broat the letter up to me this evening & mother requesed that I should Right to you so I have Roat two this night after a fasion Thomas We look for you down ? Likely I may be up ? now and ?
