Letter from Thomas W. Redwine to his sister inquiring of conditions at home. Transcription: Baltimore Md February 22 72 My dear Sister It is with much pleasure I avail myself of the opportunity of writing you a line I would have written to you sooner but have been very busy since I returned to the city and consequently you will excuse me for not writing sooner I should hope you and all at home are quite well and doing well I have nothing new to write you I have been enjoying very good health since I have got back to Balto have been attending several places of amusement but the busy season is now coming on and I must go to work I have not heard anything from John or Green or any of our friends West since I returned to Balto you must write me soon and let me know how you are all getting along and all of my old friends in the old neighborhood I am always axious to hear from the ? kindest regards to all my friends that may ask after me write soon Truly your Brother T.
