Description

Article in Textile World Magazine regarding the 1969 ATME-I exhibition of textile machinery in Greenville, South Carolina. Transcription: TEXTILE WORLD / Special to overseas readers / How to plan for the big Greenville show / Heading for the big ATME-I exhibition of textile machinery in the United States? You should be. It will be one of the biggest exhibitions of textile machinery ever staged in the States, with 247 primary exhibitors already signed up. / Dates: October 15 to 24. / If you attended the last American Textile Machinery Exhibition-International in the United Stats in 1965, or are planning to attend for the first time this year, you had better start planning now because some things have changed. / Most importantly, ATME-I will be held in Greenville, South Carolina, and not in Atlantic City, New Jersey, site of the last show in 1965. This presents new questions for the visitor coming from overseas (see next page). / What's more, this ATME-I will not exhibit textile accessory equipment. It will be an exhibition of new capital equipment -- complete new machines used in textile plants for manufacturing or processing yarn, fibers (including extrusion of filament), woven and nonwoven fabrics, knitted goods, fabrics made by other methods (including tufting); finishing, dyeing; and air handling of materials, cleaning, and cooling. / To help you get to the show--and get around once you are there--TEXTILE WORLD is publishing this special preview of the ATME-I 1969 for its overseas readers. (TW will publish its full pre-show issue in September, complete with an index to products being exhibited and a section-by-section floor plan.) / Copyright 1969 by McGraw-Hill, Inc., 330 West 42nd St., New York, N.Y.--100036
