Transcription: STUDENTS IDENTIFIED: This Hayesville class has been identified and are as follows: (first row, from left): Jack Sellers, Frank (Fred) Cowart, Mary Ballard, Columbus Hogsed, Ben Brown, Donald Penland, Lorraine Hall, Ray Anderson, Glenda Waldroup, Junior Penland, Harold Hogsed and Bud Brown; (second row, from left): Howard Penland, France Hogsed, Carl Reynolds, Willa Mae Tanner, Richard Husscussion, Ora Maney, Howard McClure, Willa Mae Husscussion, Hubert Kitchens and Lee Hollifield; (third row, from left): Marie Nichols, Sarah Stone, David Maney, Eugenia Whiting, Troy Lowe, Lujean Ledford, Lucille Ledford, Leanne Worley, Julia Hogsed, Willa Kay Maney and Narvil Hall, teacher. Leon Worley gave the "Progress" the names. Jack Sellers called Fred Cowart and named them. This is the 1938 third grade of Elf School. The school burned and the students then went to Shooting Creek.
