Roll Book contains the record of members present at meetings of the Female Benevolent Society of New Bern, N.C. It operated under the title New Bern Female Charitable Society from 1837-1854 and eventually became the New Bern Benevolent Society. The society operated under the goal of offering relief and education of the poor, especially for poor women and girls.
