Description

The Jones House, located at 411 Pitt Street in Tarboro, NC, was built approximately between 1870 and 1875. It is said to have been built by builder Jerry Rutledge for John Craven Jones, a Black educator in Tarboro, and often cited as the first principal in Edgecombe County.
