Description
Lillie Grandy was prominent in civic affairs and was instrumental in the development of many community projects, especially those that supported education. She served on the faculty of Meredith College, was a strong influence in Camden County education, and donated the land on which Camden County's primary school was built. Grandy died in 1957 at the age of 87, and Grandy Primary School was named for her and her family. Photo courtesy of Doris Dough Forehand.
