Leon Cash served as the academy principal in 1891. The Board of Trustees included Dr. J.W. Wiseman, F.M. Johnson, J.M. Johnson, S.C. Rich, and Dr. W.G. Johnson. The academy charged $1.00 per month tuition for first steps, $1.25 to $2.00 for intermediate, $2.00 to $3.00 for advanced and classical, and $2.00 for music. Board cost $8.00 per month, while an admission fee of 25 cents covered repairs, wood, crayons, and other incidental expenses. The academy advertised its building as ""nearly new, well arranged for school work, and cost[ing] around $1,500.""
