Description

The house is an example of a triple-A roof. A triple-A roof is known by a central gable projecting from the roofline plus two end gables. A widespread adaption of Downing's models, the "triple-A" profile is a characteristic of the Gothic Revival style. More information about this photograph can be found on page 42 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
