Description

Terry-Hayes House located at 309 Hillsboro Street. The house was built in the early 1890s. The dwelling's design was based on the popular one-story double-pile central-hallway-plan house with a one-story pyramidial roof. It was enhanced with asymmetrically balanced cross gables at either end of the facade. More information about this photograph can be found on page 93 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
