Description

The residence, built in 1917, is a two-story gable-roof bungalow-style house with projecting portico porch. It exhibits typical early bungalow features and outdated Queen Anne motifs such as triangular knee braces supporting overhanging eaves, tapered porch posts, twelve-over-one paired sash windows, a multipane Queen Anne sash window in the gable, and latticework frieze on the porch. More information about this photograph can be found on page 169-170 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
