Description

The original house was constructed before 1850. The one-and-a-half-story three-bay hall-parlor house has a one-story ell, boxed stair, simple Federal mantel, exterior end stone-and-brick chimney, and wing additions that were added in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. More information about this photograph can be found on page 183 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
