Description

This residence was created from combining two older one-story houses with a third central section. The first house, the 1885 Dollar house, is a two-room frame structure with entrance vestibule served by double-leaf four-panel doors. The second house, the Hutchins House built circa 1860, originally was a one-story structure with an end chimney. More information about this photograph can be found on page 185 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
