Description
The residence, constructed circa 1830, is a narrow two-story three-bay Federal house with a vernacular Federal mantel with molded surrounds and four-panel frieze, two six-panel doors, and a hall-parlor interior. One of the photographs shows the house in its earlier years while the second shows what the house looked like in the 1980s. More information about these photographs can be found on page 191-192 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
