Description

The residence, built circa 1860, is a one-story three-bay hip-roof house with distinctive vernacular Greek Revival features. The house has molded corner-posts that are sawn to resemble temple columns, a symmetrical three-part mitered door and window surrounds, nine-over-six sash windows, a double-pile three bay depth, and gable-end brick chimneys. More information about this photograph can be found on page 244 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
