Description

The original residence, built in 1922, was a one-story four-bay double-pile-plan structure with a pyramid-roof and brick end chimney. After 1922 it was enlarged with the addition of a kitchen wing and a shed-roof L-shaped porch, making the dwelling a one-story six-bay pyramid-roof house. More information about this photograph can be found on page 244 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
