Description

Built circa 1830, the residence is a two-story house built around an earlier one-and-a-half-story log structure. The late Federal-era addition made the house a two-story asymmetrical three-bay hall-parlor dwelling with boxed cornice, six-over-six sash windows, and flush sheathing beneath the shed-roof porch. More information about this photograph can be found on page 249-250 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
