Description
The residence, built circa 1903, was constructed around an older one-and-a-half-story dwelling. The house is currently a five-bay single-pile structure with a hip-roof porch with turned posts, balustrade, and sawn brackets; a brick common-bond end chimney; narrow-board sheathing; and Victorian mantels. The photograph shows the log portion of the house. More information about this photograph can be found on page 269 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
