Description

The residence is a vernacular two-story three-bay Greek Revival white frame house with six-over-six sash windows that have louvered shutters on the facade, double-leaf entrance doors with sidelights, exterior end brick chimneys laid in one-to-six common bond, and distinctive cutout scrollwork decorations on the facade windows. The house was built after the end of the Civil War. More information about this photograph can be found on page 278 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
