Description

The residence, built circa 1884, is a simple two-story four-bay farm house with two end chimneys of rubblestone and brick, six-over-six sash windows, and rear ell. In the 20th century, several additions were made to the house including a plain shed-roof front porch, remodeling of the ell, and interior alterations. More information about this photograph can be found on page 296 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
