Description

The building, believed to be dated to the mid-19th century, is a three-story gristmill with functional Greek Revival features including boxed cornice, shed-roof appendage, six-over-six fenestration, flush gables, stacked board-and-batten doors with iron strapwork hinges, and a period vernacular Greek Revival mantel. More information about this photograph can be found on page 303-304 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
