It features detailed boxed cornice, nine-over-six sash windows on the lower portion of the main facade, detailed brick end chimneys laid in Flemish bond, one-story shed-roof addition carrying across the rear (appendages to it and the southern elevation of the main block are later additions), hall-parlor interior, two simple Federal mantels, and an enclosed straight-flight stair. More information about this photograph can be found on page 320 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
