Description

The residence, built most likely in the early 19th century, is a one-story four-bay house with engaged front and rear shed-roof porches and two early end coursed stone chimneys with an unusually narrow neck and broad shoulders. In 1930 the porches were enclosed, the interior resheathed, and the roof replaced. More information about this photograph can be found on page 330 of the book The Architectural Heritage of Chatham County, North Carolina written by Rachel Osborn and Ruth Selden-Sturgill.
