Sandra Page, a North Carolina College senior and prose editor of the college's literary magazine, "Ex Umbra," examines a copy of the last issue of the publication with Franklin Williams, a junior staff member, in the doorway of their new office in the campus student union building. The building, a converted dining hall, temporarily houses many of the college's student organizations and some auxilliary enterprises. "Ex Umbra," now in its third year, offers opportunities for creative expression in writing, art work, and photography for NCC students.
