Description
An anti-union, handwritten note outlining the reasons employees should not vote for unionization. Transcription: You Have a Right to Know - 1. With a union you cannot leave your job for a break until someone comes and runs your job while you are on a break. 2. You could have to pay for insurance under a union. 3. A union will promise you anything to get you to vote for them. 4. Once you get a union and you don't like what it is doing, it would take 2/3 of the people working to vote it out which would be 282 employees out of a possible 424 employees. 5. Some of the doffers are making $8.00 to $14.00 an hour. Where else in the area can you make that kind of money. You had better think before you jump. Ask some of the ply and cable doffers what they make. Where else can you make that kind of money? 6. This company can buy fabric cheaper than we can make it. 7. Look around and see who are the leaders in the union, are these the people you want to speak for you? 8. The Bowling Green Plant had a union and it went out on strike and was shut down and that could very well happen here at our plant. Some of you are running twisters that came from the Bowling Green Plant- you had better think before you vote yourself out of a job. VOTE NO!
