The house, built in 1903, was designed by Barber and Kluttz of Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Anderson, born in 1868 in the Calahaln community, graduated from the School of Dentistry at Vanderbilt University in 1890 and practiced dentistry in Mocksville until his retirement in 1958.
