Herbert (Herb) Thomas was a stock car racer famously associated with the Fabulous Hudson Hornet, who achieved NASCAR success in the 1950s. He was born in Olivia, North Carolina, but settled and passed away in Sanford in 2000. In this photo, Herb poses with his many trophies.
