Description

Ocracoke Preservation Society has maintained an extensive record of both deaths on Ocracoke island and of Ocracoke natives. This record spans throughout the seventies, and includes both typewritten and handwritten documents. Many of the deceased's entries include a one page funeral program, a typed out eulogy, and a published obituary. Many of these eulogies were given by Reverend James (Jimmy) Creech and include handwritten notes, drafts, or commentaries. This record also includes a small section of undated obituaries that have little context.
