Description
The Mullet Wrapper is the Ocracoke Preservation Society's biannual
newsletter detailing local events, membership, and preservation efforts. The
publication gets its name from the local practice of using recycled newspaper to
wrap fish in the market. Each issue includes a letter from the society's president,
a list of current registered members, and an assortment of articles centered around
local history. The Spring 2004 issue includes articles on restoring homes for modern
living, the advantages of self regulation in historic districts, and the expansion
of the Preservation Society's conservation focus.
