The Mullet Wrapper is the Ocracoke Preservation Society's biannual newsletter detailing local events, membership, and preservation efforts. The publication gets its name from the local practice of using recycled newspaper to wrap fish in the market. Each issue includes a letter from the society's president, a list of current registered members, and an assortment of articles centered around local history. The Fall 2002 issue includes a brief history of the Howards family, details on the 3rd annual Ocrafolk Festival, and the society's acquisition of Robbie's Way.
