Description
The Mullet Wrapper is the Ocracoke Preservation Society's biannual
newsletter detailing local events, membership, and preservation efforts. The
publication gets its name from the local practice of using recycled newspaper to
wrap fish in the market. Each issue includes a letter from the society's president,
a list of current registered members, and an assortment of articles centered around
local history. The Fall 1999 issue includes stories on Hurricane Dennis, the
Ocracoke Brogue, and Ronald O'Neal Sr.'s famous duck decoys.
