Description

The Mullet Wrapper is the Ocracoke Preservation Society's biannual newsletter detailing local events, membership, and preservation efforts. The publication gets its name from the local practice of using recycled newspaper to wrap fish in the market. Each issue includes a letter from the society's president, a list of current registered members, and an assortment of articles centered around local history. The Spring 1999 issue includes articles on the exploration of Fort Ocracoke, advertisements for the Hatteras Island Civil War Conference, and an obituary for Clinton Gaskill.
