The Mullet Wrapper is the Ocracoke Preservation Society's biannual newsletter detailing local events, membership, and preservation efforts. The publication gets its name from the local practice of using recycled newspaper to wrap fish in the market. Each issue includes a letter from the society's president, a list of current registered members, and an assortment of articles centered around local history. The Winter 2014 issue proclaims the winners of the 2014 Cultural Heritage Award, gives thanks to those restoring their historic homes, and announces a silent art auction.
