Image shows a group of young people waiting to go into the Center movie theater. These "Chipper Shows" were a series of promotional campaigns used by the Gardner's Velvet Dairy to market their frozen dessert. This photo and its accompanying article were in the August 31, 1960 edition of the Rocky Mount Evening Telegram.
